Universal Projekt had successfully worked with Sephora on this concept, and came to us to produce a walkthrough of the plan, so that Sephora could get a feel for how the space would work. Big projects like this, with a great number of assets, and a tight deadline, can place immense stress on dedicated design studios. But with our multidiscipline knowledge of retail, animation, rendering and project management, this is our bread and butter.
We optimised the supplied 3D models for hi-res rendering and animation. From that we created an animatic for the timing, and placed the still characters. We then rendered for 2.5k final resolution. Finally we carried out compositing and VFX work to give the renders a stylised look before creating the final edit seen here.
